This is Logan and I the night before our trip.. |
While most were enjoying their spring breaks in some exotic locations, my boyfriend and I decided to stay a little closer to home for our frist vacation together. Our mini road trip took us through a bit of Florida. Please read on to hear about our little adventure.
Leaving Town
It was a rainly Friday afternoon. Logan and I had just taken two tests and we were more than ready to get the hell out of Gainesville. We hadn't really done much planning for our trip, but that didn't matter. All we wanted to do was go and have a little fun. We had a full tank of gas, clear skys ahead and were on a mission, to make this spring break memorable.

This is me and Isabelle at a park in Tallahassee.. |
Our First Stop...Nole Country
Our first stop was in Tallahassee to visit some old friend of mine from high school. It was nice visiting with Isabelle and Brian, it gave us a chance to catch up and remember old times. We only spent a day and a half there, but we had a great time.
Isabelle took us to a local park where we were able to see some GATORS. That was very exciting to see in Nole Country. At the park we had a picnic and met up with some other friends and had a great time.
Unfortunately, we couldn't stay in Tallahassee much longer. The road was calling our name, and we had to go.
Busch Gardens
On the next day of our trip we found ourselves in the Tampa Bay area. We decided we would go to Busch Gardens for the day and have a bit of childlike fun. We had a great day riding rollercoasters and seeing shows and animals. It had been so long since each of us had been to Busch Gardens so it was really nice to see how the place has changed over the years.
The hilight of the day was certainly going on all the rides. Soaring through the air on rollercoasters gives you such a thrll, a thrill that we experienced over and over and over again.
After a long day at the park we left and went to our hotel. Later that evening we found a wonderful little local place to eat along the coast. WE ended the night with a walk on the beach eating delicious ice cream cones and staring at the moon and stars. The night couldn't have been more perfect.
Guess We Didn't Get Enough The First Time
The next day we went back to Busch Gardens again. The day before we had bought season passes, so we figured we should get some use out of them. We were able to see some things we had missed the previous day because the park was bretty busy.
In the late afternoon we left the park and went to a mall so I could do a little shopping. Somehow I can't manage to go on a vacation without somehow visiting a mall.
Later that night we had a quite and relaxing evening in our hotel. It was much needed after the busy days we had just experienced.
MOSI
On our thrid day in Tampa we visited the Museum of Science and Industry. It may sound a little dorky, but these places are really fun. We spent the day playing around like kids and even say an IMAX movie on Egypt. I would highly reccomend that anyone who goes to Tampa visit's this place. It is well worth it!

This is my mom and I at the family picnic.. |
There's No Place Like Home
For the last part of our trip we both went home to south Florida. Logan is from Coral Springs and I am from Sunrise. They are very colse to eachother so that made things easy.
While at home I spent time with my parents and a few of my otehr frieds who were home for spring break. I spent two days at the beach and went to a picnic with some family members.
The hilight of being home was seeing my family and eating a great meal at Yesterdays, along the Intercoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale. It has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly people and amazing food.
Gainesville It Is
After spending a few days with our families it was time for Logan and I to return home to Gainesville. WE had had a wonderful trip and couldn't have asked for anything more.
